I created it because I saw what happened to men when they finally felt safe enough to move.
Over the years, more and more men began reaching out for private sessions. Many came with the same feelings: insecurity, restriction, self-consciousness, fear of expression — and a deep desire to feel more free.
Some had avoided dancing their entire lives. Some felt disconnected from joy, confidence, flow, or playfulness. Many carried a quiet frustration about feeling trapped — physically, emotionally, and socially.
What started as movement sessions became something much deeper. I saw confidence grow. Emotional walls soften. Men reconnect to joy, presence, vitality, and freedom.
One of my students — a psychologist — helped me understand that what I was facilitating went far beyond dance. That conversation became one of the catalysts for MOVEMEN.
It has been survival. Expression. Release. Healing. There were periods where dance pulled me out of stagnation and depression when nothing else could.
It gave me life back.
That is why I hold this work with such care. I know what it feels like when the body finally lets go. And I know what becomes possible when it does.
So many men are starving for this kind of connection to themselves.
MOVEMEN was born from that realisation.
This is not just about dancing. It is about reclaiming something that most men were never given permission to have — a full, free, embodied life.
A new way for men to reconnect to themselves through the body. What began as private sessions has grown into a much bigger vision — group journeys, retreats, leadership work, and transformational experiences for men around the world.
